GAMSAT - Medical School Entrance Examination

Gamsat-score
The graduate-entry programs provide opportunities for medical, dental,  pharmacy and optometry training to a wide range of graduates who have made a mature decision to commit to a demanding profession. The Graduate Australian Medical School Admissions Test (GAMSAT) has been developed by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) in conjunction with the Consortium of Graduate Medical Schools to assist in the selection of students to participate in the graduate-entry programs.  GAMSAT is designed to assess the capacity to undertake high level intellectual studies in a demanding course.
We begin by making available online lessons about argumentative/expository essay writing and reflective/discursive essay writing with excerpts from The Gold Standard GAMSAT textbook. The lessons from the book (available online with this program) provide you with a clear formula to respond to both Writing Task A and Writing Task B. You will also have 50 exercises to perform. Each exercise or practice question will be linked to a Forum so that you can share opinions. Additionally, you will get to read corrected and graded essays from students so you will know what to expect. At this point, you will be ready to practice yourself.?The earlier you begin this program, the better. You can do the last 4 essays in the final 2-3 weeks prior to your exam date; however, honing your skills long in advance would certainly be to your advantage.
A medical school interview is reproduced live in HD on campus in front of a group of premed students - most of whom were invited for medical school interviews. A volunteer is interviewed in front of the class and the entire interview is conducted as if it were the real thing. Ambiguous questions, ethical questions, pauses, interruptions and other elements are created by an experienced interviewer and author (The Gold Standard). After the interview, an analysis of each question and the mindset behind it is discussed in an open forum format.
